Foster City Police Programs

Part of the Foster City Police Department’s mission is to continually provide the highest level of professional service to the public. This goes beyond simply responding to calls for service in our community. The Department offers various programs that have a direct impact on the lives of our youth and schools, as well as those that give insight into Law Enforcement.

The Department offers you the opportunity to work ‘The Beat” with experienced professionals here at the Foster City Police Department. We offer exciting programs that enable those too busy to become Full-Time Officers a chance to still help out and learn about police work. Programs such as the Community Police Academy and the Reserve Officer Program give community members hands-on experience, while the Explorer Program is geared for children and young adults.
