Planning Division
The Planning/Code Enforcement Division is responsible for long term planning regarding growth and development of the City, for reviewing and processing applications for all development proposals, and for maintaining the appearance of the community.
Online Submissions:
For your convenience, a variety of business services can be conducted online, over-the-phone, and/or over email.

Project submissions can be submitted via our online portal at https://permit.fostercity.org/etrakit/ by selecting the Apply button under Projects, not Permits.

PLANNING DIVISION COUNTER HOURS:
Planning counter is now open to discuss exterior modifications, zoning, and any planning related inquiries.
Planning counter walk-in hours are as follows:
10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Monday - Thursday, Closed from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Closed on Fridays
Planning counter is closed the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Planning appointments may also be scheduled during the following hours: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Closed on Fridays
