Crime Prevention Corporal
Corporal Vuong Phan was born in Hong Kong and migrated to the United States with his family Christmas day in 1989. He grew up in Fremont, California where he attended and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. He attended and graduated from San Jose State University in 2012. In 2016, Vuong graduated from the South Bay Regional Police Academy at the College of San Mateo and joined the Foster City Police Department.
Vuong served the Foster City community as a patrol officer. In 2019, Vuong was assigned to the Foster City Police Department – Traffic Division. In 2022, Vuong was promoted to the rank of Corporal. One of his responsibilities as a Corporal was/is to train new officers joining the Foster City Police Department.
In 2023, Vuong was assigned as the Foster City Police Department’s Crime Prevention Corporal. When Vuong is not busy serving the Foster City community, he spends his time with his wife and children. Vuong enjoys snowboarding, mountain-biking, and exercising.
