If you wish to remain anonymous while reporting information about criminal activity which does not require an immediate response, please use the Anonymous Tip Line at (650) 286-3323.
The Tip Line has been created to allow callers to report both tips on crimes in general, and tips on graffiti. It is answered by members of our detective bureau when they are available, otherwise it is answered by a voice messaging system. When leaving a message, please leave as detailed information as possible regarding the crime. If you are reporting graffiti, you should try to be as specific as possible about the location of the markings, including a street location as well as light pole numbers if applicable.
If you wish to report a crime in order to obtain a cash reward, please leave information that will help identify you after the suspect or suspects have been convicted. It will be your responsibility to re-contact our department to claim any reward if you do not provide information on how to contact you when you left your messages.
