RethinkWaste invites you to join Rethink Recycling Day at the Shoreway Environmental Center. Find out how recycling can be more than using the blue cart. This event will include free:
- Lunch
- Raffle tickets for eco-friendly door prizes
- Food preserving workshops (two workshops will be lead by experts on pickling and jams/jellies)
- Book and clothing swaps (swap your extra clothes and books for new-to-you clothes and books)
- Facility tours (see where all the recycling, compost, and trash go)
- Household battery disposal (pick up convenient bags for proper battery disposal and drop-off of used household batteries for recycling)
- Document shredding (bring paper documents and confidential materials for safe and secure shredding done onsite)
- Compost (use processed yard trimmings and food scraps to provide nutrients to your garden)
