E-Scrap Recycling Event (FULL - No Appointments Available)

Appointments are no longer available for this event, but Electronic Waste is accepted year-round at the Shoreway Public Recycling Center (scroll down for details!)

Drop off electronic waste and other unwanted items at no cost year-round at the Shoreway Environmental Center’s Public Recycling Center (PRC), located at 333 Shoreway Road in San Carlos.  Acceptable items at the PRC include household and car batteries, cell phones, fluorescent light bulbs and tubes, cooking oil, computers, TVs, copiers, faxes, VCRs and other consumer electronics, latex and oil-based paint, scrap metal, small appliances, sharps/needles, used motor antifreeze, used motor oil and oil filters.

Some limits may apply to some items. The Shoreway PRC is open Monday – Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to check the RethinkWaste website prior to bringing items for drop-off: www.rethinkwaste.org/prc

If you have an appointment for this event, the event will take place at City Hall (610 Foster City Boulevard). Accepted items include TVs, computers, printers, monitors, cables/cords, cell phones, MP3 players, DVD players, laptops, and more (working or not). Items that will not be accepted include household appliances like fans, floor heaters, smoke detectors, vacuum cleaners, cooktops, dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, or household hazardous waste.

Please note that proof of residency will be required. The event will only be available until the time listed, until the trucks are full, or while supplies last.
