The City Council first authorized a Recreation Center Master Plan Study as a component of the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 budget and received extensive public outreach during that fiscal year as a first step in developing a Recreation Center Master Plan.

August 5, 2019 - City Council Meeting to Discuss Project Funding Options and Proposed Amendment to Agreement with Burks Toma Architects to Modify Conceptual Designs for a "Build-to-Budget" Option.
January 8, 2018 - Request for Proposal Issued for Conceptual Design Services
December 18, 2017 - City Council approved and appropriated funding for a new Recreation Center Master Plan Capital Improvement Project and authorized Staff to issue a Request for Proposals for Conceptual Design Services
March 27, 2017 - City Council Special Meeting (Budget Study Session) including report from Finance Director regarding potential funding sources for future major projects, including recreation facilities
The project includes demolition and replacement with synthetic sports turf of natural grass sports fields identified in the project plans and specifications.
Current Status
