Being a frontline and/or essential worker during this pandemic means potentially exposing themselves and their families to COVID-19 while performing their job duties. Essential workers are having to deal with new stresses of adding social distancing measures to their jobs, shifting work hours, changing childcare needs with school closures among many other challenges, all while serving our community during this stressful time. They are making sure that there is food, water, electricity, trash and sanitation services, and health care services.
In honor of Mother’s Day, join us for a fun activity that pays tribute to the mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and special women in our lives by participating in a neighborhood hunt for flower bouquets! Hunt through your neighborhood the week of May 4 – 10 and see how many you can find!
During this time of uncertainty, the Parks and Recreation Department is committed to ensure there are opportunities for the community to engage, connect, and have fun! Our staff is excited to launch a new program, FC Fun at Home, using social media to provide a variety of videos, games, activities, and resources, sure to keep our residents active and engaged while maintaining social distancing.
Connect with us, share your ideas, and let us know if there are other tools we can provide to make this extended time in our homes moments to cherish.
