Your Man Around Town

As we are in full swing of voting in our country, state, county, and City, all who can vote, should vote. In my humble opinion – if you do not vote - you should not complain. Once each of my sons turned 18, I sat them down so they may fully understand that voting is a right, not a privilege. I encourage all who can vote to vote and do their homework on the issues and candidates so that the best results are achieved.

As I began my tenure on the City Council, I was interviewed by the San Mateo Daily Journal. Many topics were covered about my plans and hopes for Foster City, and what to look forward to in working with my fellow colleagues.  To quote what I said, “The challenge that all five of us will be facing is not what we do, but it’s going to be the strategy we use. I believe we’re going to get some action done and I think it’s going to take a new tone that the residents of Foster City will be happy with, because at the end of the day that’s who we work for.”

On December 10th, 2018, my term of service to you, the residents of Foster City, will come to an end. The past five years serving as your representative, on issues ranging from budgets, the levee, parks, bike lanes, and over quality of life have been a wonderful experience. I will share more at my last City Council meeting on December 10.

To those incoming council members – please remember that your job as a public servant is about the residents of Foster City. Respect the process, respect the residents, and your time on City Council will be worthwhile.
