March
Holi Festival (Hosted by Baybasi, Inc)
Holi is one of the largest festivals in India and it celebrated by people throwing colored powder and colored water at each other. Holi is celebrated (In India) at the end of the Winter season on the last day of the full moon of the lunar month. One of Holi's biggest customs is loosening the strictness of social structures and bringing communities together in an exhilarating experience. Holi is significant for commemorating many myths and legends and symbolizes cleansing, a fresh start, and celebrating the coming of Spring. In Foster City, we will play with the colored powdered only.

July is Parks and Recreation Month
This July, discover the power of play and adventure. For children and adults, play is a vital part of our mental well-being, physical health and personal interactions. During Park and Recreation Month, NRPA is challenging everyone to get their play on with their local parks and recreation. Whether it's summer camp, an adult sports league, exploring a trail, Zumba class, meeting friends on the playground, playing cards in the park, or discovering nature — parks and play go hand in hand!
