Community Bike Ride

It is that time of year again!  The Foster City Community Bike Ride is right around the corner!   Grab your family and friends for a fun morning bike ride with members of our community!  Families and individuals are invited to participate in a 5 or a 10 mile bike ride. We encourage riders of all ages. This year, the ride is scheduled for Sunday, September 22nd.  The ride will begin at Boothbay Park, and continues down our beautiful levee along the San Francisco Bay.  

The event is totally free!  The ride begins at 10:30am, but you may arrive at the park as early as 9am and get your bike, tires and helmet checked out by professionals from Sports Basement!  Water, snacks an a frozen treat will keep you hydrated during and after the ride concludes.  Also, do not forget to pick up your free giveaway at the end of your ride!

Bike safety is very important.  Children under the age of 18 are required to wear a helmet, but all participants are strongly encouraged to wear a helmet.  

In addition to the community ride, we will have some fun activities scheduled for the children of our community.  We will have a bike decorating station set up for kids to jazz up their bikes!  Also, at 9:30am, our great Recreation Leaders will be leading some biking related games!  The games are intended for younger elementary school aged kids, but anyone can participate!
