The Active Access Initiative is a collaboration of San Mateo County, local recreation departments, and non-profit community partners. Our mission is to promote healthy physical activity in the community by offering you, the residents of San Mateo County, free and low cost (less than $5 per class) physical activities in the city where you live.
It is Foster City Parks and Recreations Departments vision to partner with the community to provide innovative services that promote and engage enriching lifestyles, foster social interaction, and encourage environmental stewardship, which contributes to our healthy community.
The Sports Wall of Fame was established on May 4, 2002, and is dedicated to recognizing outstanding contributions and commitment to Foster City youth in the spirit of sportsmanship, athletics, and teamwork.
The Wind Room is a large multi-purpose room ideal for parties, wedding receptions, corporate retreats, training sessions, seminars and meetings. The room features a fantastic view of Leo Ryan Park and the Foster City Lagoon.
The Foster City Community Center is located at 1000 E. Hillsdale Boulevard. The Community Center is located on the top floor, above the library. The facility features a large multi-purpose room suitable for small wedding receptions, parties, corporate meetings, trainings and community events. In addition, there are two medium sized rooms that are great for meetings and trainings. This facility does not feature a kitchen, so all food must be brought in by a caterer.
