Upcoming Construction in Foster City and San Mateo - Water System Improvements and Valve Replacements Project

Starting Monday, May 24, 2021, the City of Foster City will replace a water valve and pipes at the intersection of Edgewater Boulevard and E. Hillsdale Boulevard in Foster City and the intersection of Fashion Island Boulevard and Mariners Island Boulevard in San Mateo.  The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2021, with no more than 10 days of construction anticipated at each intersection.

Work activities will typically be limited to the hours between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. However, night work may be required for one night at each intersection. Please expect lane closures and parking restrictions at both intersections throughout the duration of the project, as well as a change in traffic patterns.

For the safety of the public and the construction crew, drivers should observe all posted traffic signs through the construction zone and watch for directions from flaggers. The City of Foster City appreciates your patience and understanding during construction.
