Prepare to enjoy rocking tunes on warm evenings in a picturesque setting during the 2022 Summer Concert Series. The immensely popular summer tradition will return Friday, July 15, and will continue every Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. until August 19, in the Amphitheater in Leo Ryan Park – barring the final show of the series which will take place in the meadow at Leo Ryan Park.
The first show of the year kicks off on Friday, July 15, with Pop Fiction playing a medley of danceable pop, rock, disco, hip-hop, and classic hits spanning the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s. On Friday, July 22, Beatles tribute band Mania will perform a selection of classics from the Fab Four. Nathan Owens and the Sounds of Motown will play classic soul and funk from the 60s and 70s on Friday, July 29.
Maroon 5 tribute band Maroon Vibes will perform a set of contemporary hits on Friday, August 5. Trade in your dancing shoes for boots on Friday, August 12, when Township covers country, southern rock, blues, and other classics. And the final show of the year on Friday, August 19, which doubles as the kickoff to the Summer Days festival, features the California Beach Boys performing classic surfing and summer tunes. The August 19 show will take place in the meadow at Leo Ryan Park, due to the classic car show at Summer Days.
“Foster City is proud to offer another awesome slate of bands to perform in the 2022 Summer Concert Series,” said Parks and Recreation Director Derek Schweigart. “The concerts are a beloved tradition in this community, and we look forward to seeing everyone enjoying themselves all summer long.”
