Want to make a positive impact in Foster City? Serving on a committee or commission is a great way for you to participate in local government and serve your community. The City of Foster City is currently accepting applications for the Audit Committee to fill one partial term. Term information is as follows:

  • One vacancy (partial term) ending December 31, 2025.

The Audit Committee advises the City Council/District Board regarding the selection of the independent auditor(s), the review of the annual audit process and financial statements, and other financial matters as requested by the City Council/District Board.

All board members shall have experience and expertise in the field of finance, accounting, law, or information technology. Members should be Foster City residents and serve without compensation. The Audit Committee typically meets twice each year, in April and November. Meetings are typically held in the Foster City City Hall, Conference Room 1A, 610 Foster City Boulevard.

Those interested are invited to submit applications by Thursday, October 17, at 5:00 p.m. Applicants are required to attend the City Council meeting on Monday, November 4, for consideration of an official appointment, prior to next Audit Committee meeting which is tentatively scheduled for November 14, 2024.
