Participate in the Community Police Academy

Interested in learning more about the men and women that keep our community safe? The Foster City Police Department is now accepting applications for the Community Police Academy. The free, interactive 8-week course provides an inside look at local law enforcement for an experience that educates community members and offers transparency on how the FCPD operates. Through a combination of presentations and interactive scenarios, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of how local police officers serve our community.
Class topics include:
- Patrol Activities & Procedures
- Investigations
- Traffic/Driver Safety
- Crime Prevention
- Station Tour
The academy starts on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 and meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., ending on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Participants must be at least 18 years old and either reside or work in Foster City. Enroll now, as space is limited! Applications are due Friday, July 26, 2019.
