Foster City Facilities for Pets
Foster City attempts to provide a clean, safe environment for people as well as one that is friendly to animals. Many Foster City residents live in condominiums, apartment complexes or other housing that has limited space for pets to run.
Foster City has therefore created a Dog Park located at the corner of Bounty Blvd. and Foster City Blvd. The run is open to the public and provides a large area for owners to exercise their dogs. Several parks also have off-leash hours. The Levee Pedway provides a great area for leashed pets to exercise. For more information about dogs in parks, go to the Dog Park page.
The Dog Park and the Levee Pedway have been equipped with plastic bag dispensers to help you clean up after your pet as necessary.
The companionship of a pet provides much enjoyment along with a responsibility to manage your pet in a way that is not disruptive to others. If you have questions about pet, Municipal Code Chapter 6 contains regulations regarding animals in Foster City.
If you have any questions about pet facilities in Foster City please contact the Parks and Recreation department at Parks@fostercity.org.
