At the May 4, 2020 City Council meeting, the Foster City City Council will begin a recruitment for a new City Manager to replace Jeff Moneda who recently tendered his resignation effective June 7, 2020.  The City Council will review and approve a request for proposals that will be issued to a number of recruiting firms to conduct this nationwide recruitment.

Because this search is anticipated to take several months, the City Council will also consider appointment of an Interim City Manager to lead the City as the recruitment is conducted.  Mayor Mahanpour indicates that the City Council is excited about this opportunity and encourages the public to participate in the meeting on May 4, 2020 by submitting comments to cmrecruitment@fostercity.org for the City Council’s consideration as it begins the important process of recruiting a new City Manager for Foster City.

Pending the City Council’s appointment of an Interim City Manager, Dante Hall has been asked to serve as Acting City Manager, handling day-to-day operations, while Moneda focuses on preparing reports for long-term projects and initiatives in order to ensure smooth transition to the new Interim City Manager.
