The City of Foster City announces the upcoming film release of the Foster City Docuseries: Jewel of the Bay. The series includes photos, videos, and first hand accounts of the City's beginnings and transformation into the thriving Bay Area city it is today.
The Docuseries includes seven chapters: The Beginning, Land, Economics, Community, Safety, Recreation, and Jewel of the Bay; each video a different aspect of Foster City. The final chapter summarizes the series, and brings the viewer to Foster City at present. Each chapter will be released every Thursday from April 27, the 46th anniversary of the City's incorporation, through June 8, 2017.
Members of the public are invited to the film premiere of Foster City Docuseries: Jewel of the Bay at 6:30pm on Monday April 24, 2017 in the City Council Chambers at 620 Foster City Boulevard, Foster City, CA 94404.
At this premiere event, there will be a screening of the final chapter of the forthcoming series, an approximately 20 minute feature film. Following the screening, there will be a reception with light refreshments. Dress to impress for photo opportunities. Interested attendees are encouraged to RSVP here: https://jewelofthebaypremiere.eventbrite.com, by phone at 650-286-3252, or by email at dpalmer@fostercity.org.
