Construction Starting at Edgewater Boulevard and Port Royal Avenue

Residents and motorists are advised that the intersection of Edgewater Blvd. and Port Royal Ave., adjacent to Edgewater Shopping Center, will be under construction beginning on Tuesday, January 3, 2022.  The work will include the construction of a new median, curb ramps, and traffic signals. Edgewater Blvd. will have lane closures due to the construction and street parking may be temporarily prohibited.  Please expect delays.

The City’s general contractor for this project is Columbia Electric Incorporated.  Work activities will normally take place Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. However, there may be instances when work activities will need to take place outside the normal periods.  The work is expected to take approximately one month to complete.
