The City of Foster City Thanks Donors and Volunteers to the Parks and Recreation Department

Foster City, CA: January 30, 2023 – The City of Foster City is grateful to the numerous sponsors and volunteers who contributed to the Parks and Recreation Department’s ability to serve the community in 2022.
Last year, the City received generous sponsorship donations to offset the costs of offering valued community events, such as the Fourth of July Celebration, Summer Concert Series, Summer Days Festival, Family Overnighter, Halloween Spooktacular, and Tree Lighting.
Sponsors for these events included: 5A Rent-A-Space, Edgewater Marine, Foster City Chamber of Commerce, Gilead, Happy Healthy Teeth, Island United Church, Jacklyn Kurth Orthodontics, Julie Flouty Homes, Kids Connection, Lions Club of Foster City, Mariners Point Golf Center, Peninsula Clean Energy, Primerica, Rotary Club of Foster City, Star One Credit Union, T.M Tobin, TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Mateo-Foster City, and Zoox.
The City’s Parks and Recreation Department also worked with a dedicated group of volunteers who provided support throughout the year. Citizen Committees including the Parks and Recreation Committee and the Youth Advisory Committee as well as local service clubs including Bair Island Cyber Lions, Lions Club, and Rotary Club provided essential support and input.
Additionally, the Department worked with volunteers from Design Tech High School, Foster City Village, Second Harvest Food Bank, Rotary Club Rose Pruners, and community members who volunteered with park cleanup efforts.
This group of dedicated sponsors and volunteers contributed to the City’s ability to offer exceptional events, programs, and service. With deep appreciation and gratitude for the support received over the last year, the City of Foster City looks forward to working together with these partners to continue serving the local community in 2023.
