The City of Foster City will host the social-impact program AlligatorZone®, where kids meet cool startups. AlligatorZone® is a movement to foster face-to-face communities, where kids meet cool startups, allowing families to provide their children with a peek into future careers, presented by startup founders who are creating that future. The City of Foster City is proud to bring this program to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. Kids and teens at AlligatorZone learn through direct interaction with products and the founders of startups.

"I am extremely pleased to play a part in the coordination of a community meeting to engage our youth and provide educational opportunities towards entrepreneurship,” said Jeff Moneda, P.E., City/District Manager, City of Foster City.

"The kids and teens of today will be our future workforce, so we at Voix.AI indeed look forward to this opportunity to give families a glimpse of our product that helps anyone order food from a restaurant menu by just speaking it aloud to Alexa, Google Home or other voice-enabled device, while also inspiring and informing the young audience members about the skills they will need to build successful careers in a voice-activated world," said Vaibhav Gupta, Founder & CEO, Voix AI (https://voix.ai/).

"My inspiration for Geopogo came from a vivid dream in the middle of the night.  With Geopogo, you can easily express your design ideas in 3D, creating virtual spaces on desktop, VR, and AR, said Dave Alpert, CEO & Co-founder, Geopogo (https://geopogo.com). "I am looking forward to sharing Geopogo's technology and learning from the community at the AlligatorZone event."

“We are delighted to be able to bring AlligatorZone to families in Foster City, California; we applaud the leaders of the City of Foster City for the encouragement they provided to high-school freshman Ananya Pant whose advocacy paved the way for this event, and truly appreciate the support of the City and of the community,” said Ramesh Sambasivan, Cofounder of AlligatorZone. “AlligatorZone® is not only an unparalleled enriched STEM and STEAM learning experience for young audiences, but also an uplifting and joyful community-celebration of the entrepreneurial journey.”

AlligatorZone will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the Wind Room (above the library) located at: Foster City Community Center, 1000 E Hillsdale Boulevard, Foster City, CA 94404.
