Join the fun and celebrate our nation’s Independence Day on Tuesday, July 4, in Foster City. The Fourth of July is always one of the biggest days on the calendar in Foster City, and this year will be no different with a full day featuring food, music, games, vendors, and entertainment culminating with an incredible fireworks show over the beautiful Lagoon.
The celebration starts with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Foster City Rotary Club at 9 a.m. in the meadow at Leo Ryan Park. Vendors will open afterward in Leo Ryan Park at 10 a.m., food trucks start to serve at 11 a.m., and the Kids Play Zone opens at 11:30 a.m. The Family and Dog Parade will begin from The Vibe at 11:05 a.m. and end at the Amphitheater, where the event will officially kick off with an opening ceremony, welcome from the Lions Club, and the performance of the National Anthem.
A musical performance for the kids by Andy Z will begin at noon, and family games will start in the Leo Ryan Park meadow from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. From 4:15 to 5:45 p.m., the Fog City Swampers will play rock tunes in the Amphitheater, followed by a country music performance by Township from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m. The music will give way to another performance of the National Anthem at 9:25 p.m., followed by the beloved fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. over the Lagoon.
As the community prepares to celebrate this holiday, please remember that personal use of fireworks is banned in Foster City. For more information about the celebration, parking, alcohol and grilling policies, and more, please visit www.fostercity.org/july4th.
