Lift Station 59 Effluent Line

Description

This project consists of improvements to the effluent line at Lift Station 59, located in the District’s Corporation Yard, including replacing the existing ultrasonic effluent flow meter with a new electromagnetic flow meter; installing a reusable emergency bypass to provide operational flexibility and redundancy; and replacing the existing 24” ball valve on the discharge force main.

In February 2021, the Board awarded the consultant agreement for professional engineering services to BKF Engineers. The plans and specifications for this Project were completed in May 2024. The Project went to the Board on July 15, 2024 for approval of Plans & Specifications and to authorize a call for bids. On October 7, 2024 the Board awarded the construction contract to Performance Mechanical, Inc.

Due to long lead time for specialty items, groundbreaking activity is anticipated to begin in Summer 2025 and will take four months.
