Description
The Intersection Improvements Project at Foster City Blvd / Metro Center Blvd and Foster City Blvd / East Third Ave will address the identified significant impact on the existing traffic due to the recent BioMed Development Project identified as the Lincoln Center Life Sciences Research Campus Project. In additional the project will aid in reducing queuing at the East Third Ave and Metro Center Boulevard intersections due to commuter cut-through traffic. The construction involves the reduction of the existing pork chop islands to allow for an additional right turn lane.

Current Status
The City of Foster City invited bids for the Intersection Improvements Project at Foster City Blvd. / Metro Center Blvd. and Foster City Blvd. / East Third Ave. Project. The Engineer's Estimate for the project is $85,000. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting was held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 10:00 am in City Hall. The deadline for submitting bids was 2:00 m on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall.
At the April 15th, 2019 Council Meeting, the City of Foster City awarded the construction contract to the apparent low responsible and responsive bid that was FBD Vanguard Construction, Inc. A link to the Resolution can be found below.
