The Parks & Recreation Department is turning the parking lot of the Recreation Center into a drive-in movie theater! Come with your family and settle into a parking space for a evening of food and fun. For event information, please see the list of Frequently Asked Questions below.

Registration Information
When can I register for this event?
Registration for Grease opens on July 26th at 9am to Foster City Residents and August 2nd at 9am to Non-residents. Register at registration.fostercity.org, keyword search "drive in", category "all categories".
How much are tickets?
Tickets are $25 per vehicle for Foster City Residents and $30 per vehicle for Non-residents. All sales are final. One ticket per vehicle.
Is my registration receipt my ticket?
Yes, your registration receipt is your entry ticket. You must show your receipt to gain access to the event.
General Event Information
What time can I enter the parking lot?
Entry to the parking lot will start at 6:30pm. All members of your party must be present at entry. There are no in and out privileges.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Attendees must follow current CDC mask guidelines. Masks will be required to enter the building for the restroom.
Where are the restrooms located?
The Recreation Center will be open for Drive-in Movie patrons only. The line will form outside of the Recreation Center and City staff will monitor who enters the building.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not allowed unless they are a registered service animal.
Movie Information
What time does the movie start?
The movie will start at approximately 7:30pm (depending on the sunset). The movie runtime is 110 minutes.
What is the movie rated?
The movie is rated PG. Please research the movies to see if the content is appropriate from your family. Visit www.commonsensemedia.org for more information.
How do I listen to the movie?
Audio will be streamed through your FM car radio. The radio station will be provided upon entry.
Vehicle & Parking Information
Can I choose my parking spot?
Vehicles will be directed into a parking spot based on your place in line and the size of your vehicle. Larger vehicles will be placed in the back and on the sides. No RV’s allowed.
Can I park near my friends?
If you want to park near a friend, you must be in line with the other vehicle. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but placement is not guaranteed.
Can I get out of my vehicle during the movie?
If you prefer to sit outside of your vehicle during the movie, you may do so as long as you stay in the vicinity of your designated parking spot.
Can I back my vehicle into a parking spot?
All vehicles located in the middle rows must remain forward facing. Vehicles that are angled on the side rows may back in.
Concessions
Will there be concessions?
Yes, there will be concessions available for purchase at the event. The Lions Club will be selling beverages and providing free popcorn to each vehicle.
Can I bring or purchase alcohol for this event?
There is no alcohol permitted at this event.
