New Commuter Express Bus Line between San Francisco and Foster City

Are you a commuter traveling between Foster City and San Francisco? If so, try out the new SamTrans bus line, Foster City Commuter Express (Route FCX), starting August 19. Commuters can try out the new bus line for FREE from August 19-August 30. Route FCX will offer weekday morning and evening express service between Foster City and downtown San Francisco in both directions. 

Route FCX San Francisco will run about every 30 minutes on weekdays 6:00-8:00 a.m. and 3:30-6:00 p.m. Route FCX Foster City will run about every 30 minutes on weekdays 6:25-8:25 a.m. and 3:30-6:00 p.m. After August 30, bus fare for adults (age 19+) will be $2.25 into San Francisco and $4.00 out of San Francisco. “Traffic management and mobility is one of Foster City’s strategic focus areas and a top priority. We want to create a sustainable multi-modal transportation network that will decrease traffic, delays, and congestion,” said Mayor Sam Hindi. “FCX is a step in the right direction to achieve this. The new bus line will take more cars off the road and encourage public transportation.”
