Description
As part of Estero Municipal Improvement District’s ongoing program to maintain and upgrade the water system by installing and/or replacing valves and appurtenances to improve the reliability and minimize service interruptions to customers, the Project addresses needed repairs and upgrades.
The project includes:
- Replacement of a water main valve at the intersection of Mariners Island Boulevard and Fashion Island Boulevard;
- Replacement of a water main valve at the intersection of E. Hillsdale Boulevard and Edgewater Boulevard;
- Replacement of water main valves and a deteriorated portion of water main, as well as, installation of a new valve near the intersection of E. Third Avenue and Detroit Avenue; and
- Installation of bypass assemblies near the intersections of E. Third Avenue and Detroit Avenue and E. Third Avenue and Anchor Road to allow bypassing of the water main on the Seal Slough Bridge should the water main fail.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to take place in March-April 2020.
The Estero Municipal Improvement District is currently inviting bids for the Project. Bids must be submitted by Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 2 PM. For more information about bidding the project, refer to Notice Inviting Bids file.
