Compost provides valuable nutrients for garden soil and helps retain moisture, which saves water, prevents erosion, and loosens compacted soils for better drainage. The City of Foster City Compost Bin Incentive Program provides a rebate up to $40 to residents who choose to purchase a home composting bin that is at least $40 in cost.
