The City of Foster City has had shared fire services with the City of San Mateo since 2010, and with the City of Belmont since 2013. Improvements on cost savings as well as service have been realized through these partnerships by sharing Fire Administration, Fire Prevention services, equipment and staffing of a ladder truck at Station 23 located in San Mateo. The new consolidated fire agency will continue to sustain these improvements while also establishing single, cohesive operating principles, policies, procedures, employee relations agreements, and financial records.

Fire staff will be present and available at the community workshops to answer any questions and provide information concerning this new and exciting proposal. Community members are all welcome to participate and be involved in this endeavor to provide improved, quality emergency response services to all three cities.

For more information, contact Fire Administration at (650) 522-7900.
