FC_Dialogue_FullTag_RGB-minFoster City and most cities on the Peninsula are impacted by increased traffic congestion. What causes traffic congestion for our community? What can be done to address the issue? Join us for this important meeting to understand our transportation and mobility challenges and discuss ways we may improve the ability to get in, out and around our City.

All community members are invited to participate in the third session, "Transportation & Mobility," of the Community Dialogue Series in Foster City to be held on October 11, 2017 in the Lagoon Room at the Foster City Recreation Center from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Be informed and get involved in strategies for lasting solutions.

"Our goal with the CommUNITY Dialogue Series is to help inform our community about the challenges facing our City and finding solutions together", said Sam Hindi, Vice Mayor of Foster City. "This next meeting about mobility is very important to the future of our great City. Whether you walk, bike, shuttle, bus or drive, transportation is important to your daily life. There is a profound impact on the health and character of our community and environment by the travel choices we make."

Session 1 was entitled Celebrating the Evolution of Our City, and helped provide the foundation for discussions taking place that evening as well as at subsequent sessions. Session 2, Workforce Housing, built on the program by informing, engaging and involving the community in a dialogue with a panel of industry experts centered on workforce housing. The session was co-sponsored by the Urban Land Institute (https://uli.org/) and the City of the Foster City. Session 3 will be centered on Transportation and Mobility.
