FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Foster City Tennis Expo

Foster City, CA; June 6, 2012

Tennis ExpoOn Saturday July 7, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Foster City Tennis Club (FCTC) with the Foster City Recreation Department is hosting a 'Tennis Expo' at Edgewater Park (located on Edgewater Boulevard between East Hillsdale and Beach Park Boulevards) for beginning tennis players, young and old!

From 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, kids 10 years old and younger are invited with their parents to learn about tennis. We will demonstrate the “10 and Under'” (TAUT) program with the kids working with Christine Ferry (USTA) and FCTC volunteers. Kids will learn about tennis, sportsmanship, and rules using TAUT rackets, nets, and balls (supplied by USTA).

From 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM, adult beginning tennis players are invited to learn about tennis with the USTA, the FCTC, and Reynaldo Zalles of Zalles Racket Sports of Foster City. New tennis players will learn about rules, equipment, and playing techniques with the USTA.

The FCTC will provide bottled water, bananas, and cookies for event participants.

Foster City residents are welcome. Come find out about the lifetime sport of tennis and the activities provided for all levels of players, including first-time beginners!

Note: for those playing tennis already, the Foster City Tennis Club is hosting a Fun Day of tennis on July 4th. See their website (http://fostercitytennisclub.org) for more information.
