Community Choice Energy

Peninsula Clean Energy is a community choice energy (CCE) program (also known sometimes as community choice aggregation). CCE programs allow local governments to pool the electricity demands of their communities, purchasing power with higher renewable content, and reinvesting in local infrastructure.  Foster City is currently participating with San Mateo County to determine whether a Community Choice Energy Program might be feasible and a good opportunity for residents and businesses in our area.  To learn more, follow the link on the left to the Peninsula Clean Energy website, where you will find the Technical Feasibility Study, Frequently Asked Questions, Speaking Points and scheduled presentations about Peninsula Clean Energy as well as a proposed timetable for implementation.
