Election Information


The next scheduled municipal election will be held November 5,2013 when voters will elect two (2) members of the City Council. The two Council seats up for election this year are due to expiring terms for Mayor Pam Frisella and Vice Mayor Charlie Bronitsky. Open Council seats are for a four-year term starting December 2013 expiring December 2017. The following candidates have qualified for the November 5 ballot:

·Charlie Bronitsky (incumbent)

·Gary Pollard

Also on the ballot is Measure U which requires majority approval.


 To pay for general city services enjoyed by all  residents and businesses in Foster City, including services such as police,  fire, parks, recreation, and repairing and maintaining the levee, lagoon,  streets and other infrastructure, shall an ordinance be adopted to increase  the City's business license tax effective January 1, 2014? 






The text of the ordinance submitted to the voters amends Chapters 5.04, 5.08,5.12, 5.16, 5.20, 5.24, 5.28, 5.32, 5.36 and 5.40 of the Foster City Municipal Code

The polls on Election Day will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
