FAQ - Furnace Replacement

Question: Do I need a permit to replace a furnace?

Answer: Section 112.1 of the California Mechanical Code requires that Building Mechanical Systems (including a furnace and air conditioner) have a permit. Mechanical systems can and will cause hazardous conditions if not installed properly and it is always a good idea to have experts inspect the installation of these systems.
